First things first… I am very happily married to my best friend, Mandi Nichole, and we have 3 wonderful children. I’m the Worship / Youth Pastor at Nazareth Baptist Church in Rainsville, Alabama and I own and operate a graphic design firm to pay the bills and support the ministry.
So where the name of this blog come from and what does it mean?

I love a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. Bea Arthur, who played Dorothy Zbornack in Golden Girls, was one of the all time greats. But going even further back, I love the deadpan comedy and dry wit of Bob Newhart. The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart, his debut album, was released in 1960. The album was number one on the Billboard Pop Album chart, topping an album by Elvis Presley and the cast album of The Sound of Music.
I am no stand up comedian, but I do have a sarcastic sense of humor, a quick, dry wit and I love to wear dress shirts, thus the name, The Button-Down Mind.
